Natural Underground Areas

This tool will let you create caves by painting areas on the map.

QUICKSTART

Choose a brush size with the icons below or with your MOUSE WHEEL (also works with [ and ] ) and start to paint on your map by clicking and dragging your mouse.

MAIN MODES

There are two main modes in this tool: Dig Cave and Blast Open.

Dig Cave mode

Hold click and brush the area to "dig out" your cave

Dig Cave Mode

Hold ⌥ ALT to erase parts of the cave

Hold Alt while drawing to erase

Blast Open mode

Click to open cave entrances

Blast Open Mode

Hold ⌥ ALT to undo blasted areas

Use Show Blast Opened Areas to visualize what you’ve done

With Show Blast Opened Area, you can now see what you've done in Blast Open

Cave Customization

You can change the style and color of the cave. Any change you’ll apply to a style will apply to all the caves of your map.

You can turn the walls and/or the ground transparent by lowering the fourth slider in the color picker (alpha).

📌 Good to know 📌

• Only the first of the two default styles is colorable.

• The Cave Brush interacts with the walls from the Building Tool but not with the walls from the Wall Tool.

• The cave tool is similar to the Building Tool in its limitations. For more control, use the Path Tool and the Pattern Shape Tool.
