_Lib is a mod that interacts with other mods. It gives them, among other things, the ability to have a setting page.
When the mod is loaded, you can see a new tab in Preferences called Mods.
Mod List & Mod Settings
In there, you will find the list of each mod you've loaded, which is extremely useful since doesn't allow you to see them after loading a map.
When you click on any mod in the list, you will see some related info appear on the right.
The small gear icon in the top right corner is the Settings button.
White gear icon means the selected mod has some settings options
Grey gear icon means the mod doesn't have any options, or at least not in there
_Lib Settings
If you click on the gear icon for the _Lib mod, a new window will appear, offering several setting options. In the most recent version (as of today, July 27, 2025), you'll find a log level menu and two options called UI Scale and Picker Scale.
Log Level is a feature for modders, so you shouldn't worry about it.
UI Scale will define the size of the text, menus and icons appearing on your screen. It goes from 50% up to 400%.
Picker Scale will define the size of the assets' thumbnails in the libraries. It goes from 50% up to 400%.
Both sliders can be either dragged by hand, or, when hovered over, you can scroll with the mouse wheel or reach a number with ← and → on your keyboard.
Shortcut Management
Some mods add shortcuts for various features, and _Lib allows the user to edit them.
These are the main features of this mod, but there are also some additions, like the ability for mods to have configurable shortcuts or the ability to show custom layers in the Selection Tool's Filter
Usually, creators post some minor updates of their mods on Discord and release a bigger update from time to time on CartographyAssets.com, so if you're missing some features from there, you might find the most recent version on Discord.
