ESSENTIAL UTILS
by MBMM
Essential Utils combines several features:
An Eyedropper tool to quickly place the same assets again on your map
A Select Similar button designed to select all the copies of the same asset on your map
An Alignment tool to align several assets together
An Asset Pack Manager to display info and manage your packs
EYEDROPPER / PICKER TOOL
The mod will add a Picker Tool in the Objects tab.

That tool allows quick selection of anything on the map, and automatically switches to the relevant tool. You can quickly change to the picker tool by pressing P .
Once in the Picker Tool, you can simply click on any asset on the map and the tool will automatically bring you to the corresponding tool and asset, ready to be placed.
You can also use the same Filters as in the Selection Tool for an easier selection.

Known Limitations
Using the Picker on Roofs will correctly set the Roof type, but this will not be reflected in the UI.
When zoomed out, Light elements can sometimes be selected even when it appears it shouldn’t be.
The shortcut P can't be rebound.
When you move a pattern, the Picker Tool can't select it where it is but it will find it where it was initially drawn.
The tool doesn't highlight which asset you're selecting so it might sometimes be hard to pick it.
ALIGNMENT TOOLS

In the Select Tool, this feature allows quick alignment of any multiple selection made up of lights, objects and freestanding doors.
The first thing you select will be what all other selections align too.
The first item selected will by default be highlighted in green. If you have _Lib installed, this can be configured in the Mods Settings.
The alignment buttons will be disabled if your selection includes an item that can’t be aligned
Align at Left: All the assets will be aligned to the left side of the reference asset
Align at Center: All the assets will be aligned to the horizontal center of the reference asset
Align at Right: All the assets will be aligned to the right side of the reference asset
Align at Top: All the assets will be aligned to the top side of the reference asset
Align at Middle: All the assets will be aligned to the vertical center of the reference asset
Align at Bottom: All the assets will be aligned to the bottom side of the reference asset

Distribute Horizontally: Assets will be evenly distributed between the leftmost asset and the rightmost asset.

Distribute Vertically: Assets will be evenly distributed between the topmost asset and the bottommost asset.

Known Limitations
Alignment to edges of objects can be unreliable if objects in the selection aren’t rotated at angles a multiple of 90 degrees
Issue with the green box not disappearing (unless you disable it in Preferences)
SELECT SIMILAR
In the Select Tool, this feature allows for quick selection of all cosmetically similar items on map, based on the following selection criteria:
Portals: Texture
Objects: Texture, Color
Paths: Texture
Walls: Texture, Color
Pattern Shapes: Texture, Color and Rotation
Lights: Texture, Intensity and Range
Roofs: Texture and Roof Type
By selecting an asset and clicking on the Select Similar button at the bottom of the tab, any other instances of the same asset will then be selected.

SHOW OBJECT INFO / ASSET MANAGER
In the Select Tool, this feature shows the name, pack and position of the currently selected asset (or last selection if nothing is selected) at the top right of your screen.

Asset Pack Manager
This little window has a Full Assetpack Info button. Clicking on it will display details on the number of instances of objects and textures used from an asset pack.

You will also be able to disable any pack in the list, or disable only unused packs by clicking on the Delesect Unused Packs button. By clicking apply, you will be brought to the Custom Assets window, with an updated list according to what you've set in the previous window. Click on Accept, save your map and reload it for the changes to be effective.

The author of the mod stated this is feature hasn’t been well tested, so use with care.
Usually, creators post some minor updates of their mods on Discord and release a bigger update from time to time on CartographyAssets.com, so if you're missing some features from there, you might find the most recent version on Discord.
