MAIN MENU
Let's break down what's in the top left menu

Open Recent
This will show you the most recent files you opened.
Save As
This will let you save a copy of your map with a different name.
Requires being on a map
Change Map Size
By adding positive or negative values, it will let you add or remove tiles to your map.
Requires being on a map
Show Map Info
Lets you see some info about the map, like the size and the custom packs you actually used (which can be different from the loaded packs if you didn’t use them all on your map).
Requires being on a map
Can display custom asset packs that have custom terrain even though they were not used.
Preferences
Will lets you choose the basic user settings of Dungeondraft. Depending on your version, you might see more or less options here.
General
In the General tab, you can:
Change the language (V1.1.1.1 and above)
Change the max amount of undos (more is better, but low end computers may not handle this well)
Change the backup frequency and the amount of backups you keep (more is better but it takes more space on your computer)
Enable the log for errors to help diagnose issues with the program
Snap at half grid or full grid units
Use Regex for your search (advanced search method, lets you find text patterns using special symbols and rules)
Mute the warnings and errors (not recommended)
Set a custom font directory to add more fonts to Dungeondraft

Interface
In the Interface tab, you can:
Change the UI scale (for 4K monitors for example, even though it might not be enough and will need a mod like _Lib to be adjusted to your screen)
Change the hovering time that displays a full-size preview of an asset
Activate the hotbar and change its settings (V1.1.1.0 and above)
Change the UI color and transparency (V1.1.1.0 and above)

Shortcuts
In the Shortcuts tab, you can see and edit some keyboard shortcuts.

Edit Object Tags
Lets you manage the various tags and sets of tags attached to the objects. Is likely to mess up everything, especially colorable assets, so my advice would be not to touch anything here.
If your colorable assets don’t work, make sure the mode is set to Default.
Open User Folder
In this folder, you’ll find your backup folder, a config file, the prefabs folder and a thumbnails folder (likely hidden). You can also open it by browsing to %appdata%\Dungeondraft
on Window, or go to /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/DungeonDraft
on Mac.
Some bugs you can encounter will be solved by deleting the config file while Dungeondraft is closed. The file will be rebuilt by Dungeondraft next time you start the software.
Package Custom Assets
If you want to add your own assets to the software, you can use this tab to do so. Just be aware that some more powerful and user friendly third party tools exist, like Ryex’s GoPackager, which have a lot of advantages over the built-in method. For more info on how to pack your assets, feel free to check this video or ask on the official Discord.
There is a template file you can get by clicking on the Example Template button, but make sure to remove any file and folder you're not using before you repack it (or just make a new pack from scratch). Keeping files (especially data files) might cause your pack to break.
