LEFT TAB
Breakdown of the options in the left tab
Filter
You can choose to select only a type of asset. Click on the Filter button. It will open a list in which you can set only certain types of assets you want to select.

Layers
Similar to the Filter feature, you can choose to select an asset only from certain layers.
Click on the Layers button. It will open a list in which you can set only layers that you will be able to select assets from.

Copy, Paste, Delete
By default, the Copy, Paste and Delete buttons are greyed out. Copy and Delete become available as soon as you select an asset. Paste becomes available when you have copied an asset.

You can also copy a selected asset by pressing CTRL+C/CMD+C, paste with CTRL+V/CMD+V and delete an asset by pressing DELETE or BACKSPACE on your keyboard.
Mirror
You can operate a vertical symmetry on selected assets by pressing the Mirror button (except for Walls and Portals).

Lock/Unlock
You can use the Lock button to secure the selected assets. You won't be able to apply any kind of change to a locked asset.

If a locked asset is selected, the Lock button will become an Unlock button, which can be used to restore the normal status of an asset.

When you do a multi-selection (with 🡅 SHIFT or a selection box), locked and unlocked assets won’t be mixed in the same selection. The behavior depends on how you start the selection:
If you start by clicking on an unlocked asset or with a selection box, only unlocked assets will be selected, locked ones will be ignored, even if they are inside the selection box.
If you start by clicking on a locked asset, then only other locked assets will be included when you add more to the selection or use a selection box. You can also simply press ⌥ ALT and draw your selection box wihtout selecting any asset.
This makes it easier to work around elements that are close together, or to avoid selecting static elements like a floor texture you’ve intentionally locked.

Make Prefab/Separate
When you select one or several assets, you can group them into prefabs by clicking on the Make Prefab button. When you select a prefab on your map, the Separate button becomes available.

Previous Tool
The Previous Tool button sends you back to the tool you were using right before entering the Select Tool. You can also press X.
