MINOR UTILS

by uchideshi34

Version tested here: 1.5.1

Minor Utils is a toolbox that adds many small features to enhance the core experience of Dungeondraft:

  • Additonal buttons to the main tools panel

  • Configurable shortcuts for all the tools and other features

  • Templates for the Scatter Tool

  • Walls sorting options in the Select Tool

  • Persist grid visibility across sessions

  • Random mirroring in the Scatter Tool

SHORTCUT CONFIGURATION

The mod adds a new tool in the Settings tab, called Shortcut Configuration.

Clicking on it will display the list of tools associated with buttons.

For each tool, the first column of ON/OFF buttons will toggle a new button in the left bar for easy access, similar to the optional hotbar from recent versions.

For example, if I want a direct access to the Path Tool on the left, I can toggle the first ON/OFF button on its line.

The second ON/OFF column enables a keyboard shortcut for each tool.

Here's the full list of shortcuts added by the mod:

The mod also adds 4 other shortcuts to help you manage asset sorting more easily:

PERSISTING GRID VISIBILITY

When this mod is enabled, it will automatically remember if your grid was displayed or hidden last time you closed Dungeondraft, and will display it accordingly.

Vanilla Dungendraft always displays the grid when you open or create a map.

BETTER SCATTER TOOL

Random Mirror

The mod adds a Random Mirror button in the Scatter Tool. If enabled, it will randomly mirror assets during their placement for more visual variety.

Scatter Templates

If you have _Lib enabled, you can go into Preferences to have access to Minor Tool's settings and enable the possibility to store and use your own templates for the Scatter Tool.

Once this option is activated, a new toolbar will appear in the left panel.

With this bar, you'll now be able to create and edit scatter presets and groups of presets.

Presets

When the icon is white, you're in Preset mode. Each setting and every selected asset can be remembered inside of a single preset so it can be easily accessed later.

You can add a new preset by clicking on the dropdown menu.

Groups

When the icon is blue, you're in Group mode. You can make several groups so presets to sort your presets (for example if you have several custom asset packs).

You can add a new preset by clicking on the dropdown menu.

Other Icons

: Save each Preset

: Rename each Preset or Setting

: Delete each Preset or Setting

WALL SORTING IN SELECTION TOOL

By selecting a Wall in the Selection Tool, you have now access to the Bring To Front and to the Send To Back buttons.
